Cogswell & Harrison (Gunmakers) Ltd, London's oldest surviving maker, announces the launch of its new website which offers pre-owned Cogswell & Harrison guns along with those of other fine quality London makers. Dr Graham Cooley, Director of Cogswell & Harrison pointed out: "More and more pre-owned guns are now being sold via the Internet. The beauty for the seller is access to a global market. The beauty for the buyer is the ability to access fine guns across the globe from the comfort of their home." All of the guns offered have been inspected and where necessary repaired, under the guidance of Alan Crewe, Director of Gunmaking who commented that: "These guns have been checked in our workshop and we provide a two year warranty on all mechanical parts. They are good value for money, and an investment which, if properly looked after will give generations of sterling service in the field". Other services included on the website, are: • a full repair and restoration service; • the supply of cartridges and accessories; • new or restored leather on oak gun cases specially fitted out • an archive service providing certificates of origin for Cogswell & Harrison and Harrison & Hussey guns. Fortunately, most of the Cogswell & Harrison gun records and all of the Harrison & Hussey ones remain intact. By providing the serial number of their guns, owners will be advised of the date of completion free of charge.
